Although we do not recommend getting your extensions wet in a hot tub or pool, sometimes its inevitable…
Wet your hair with clean, filtered water before going in a pool/hottub or ocean.
Apply leave-in conditioner, avoiding attachment points, secure hair in a low bun or braid.
After you swim
Rinse hair with clean, filtered water as soon as possible.
Shampoo and use a deep conditioner.
Blowdry hair to 100% dry.
sunny days
Help maintain colour, shine and softness during extended sun exposure.
Wear a hat during extended sun exposure, and keep hair in a braid or ponytail.
Use mineral based, non-pigmented sunscreen to prevent staining. (Avoid chemical sunscreens)
Avoid getting sunscreen OR tanning oils on your extensions and attachment points.
Be mindful of sunscreen transfer from the shoulders, neck and back (this can lead to discolouration.)
Wash and condition your hair after extended sun exposure, to help remove product, sunscreen and buildup.
